Hello and welcome. My name is Liz Dann and I am running for Morrisville Town Council. I'd like to tell you a little about myself and why I hope you will trust me with your vote for the at-large seat on Council.
I was educated at Harvard University and have bachelor’s degree in American and Asian History
Having served in the military, I am well-traveled which gave me the opportunity to learn about diverse cultures, people, and customs.
Lived in Germany: During Persian Gulf War, I. presented to aircrew flying into harms way about the political situation, military and terrorist threats.
Traveled to Middle East during the conflict to experience the situation on the ground.
Studied India and Pakistan: gained a true appreciation for the cultures. Traveled to Jordan and Israel: gaves me a much better understanding about how and why the region is in constant conflict.
Studied East Asia, specifically North Korea, South Korea, China, Japan and the history, culture and customs that make all these places unique.
Traveled throughout Europe and Australia.
Still so many places to go, people to meet, and cultures to experience.
In addition to my 30+ year professional career in strategy, performance and communications, I enjoy volunteering: on the Morrisville Parks & Rec and Cultural Resources Advisory Committee; Weston Estates HOA; previously in public schools, as PTA Treasurer.
I am wife, mother, and avid tennis player and pickleball enthusiast
